Notes from The Brides Project

Looking for Beautiful Bridal Fabric?

We are so appreciative of all of the gowns that are donated to The Brides Project. Sometimes, we have dresses donated that are unsellable (due to styles that are too out of date or damage that may be unrepairable). Even though we may not be able to resell these dresses, they do have incredible fabric, beading or lace and we don’t want them to go to waste! Some of these dresses we can use to make the fabulous ring bearer pillows you see in our shop, but we’d also like to offer YOU the chance to purchase some of the fabric for your own crafty projects!

We’re selling gowns for fabric use at $25 a gown (or we can make you a great deal if you want to buy multiple gowns) – and of course, all proceeds are donated directly to the Cancer Support Community. If you’re interested in purchasing a gown or two for fabric, please contact Barb at barb.hiltz@cancersupportannarbor.org!

A Successful Saturday!

A quick update on our Spring Sale Saturday (try saying that 10 times fast)!

It was truly a beautiful and sunny Saturday – we had some amazing brides with scheduled consultations, and more than a few walk ins! We’re happy to report that we made a total of $730 through dress and veil sales – 100% of which will be donated to the Cancer Support Community!

Look for a post soon about one of our brides, Keri, who stopped by our salon on Saturday and found her wedding dress. She was a joy to meet and we can’t wait to feature her on our site!

We also had the pleasure of a Saturday photo shoot. Volunteer Kathy, and two volunteer bridal models, spent a few hours taking pictures of some of the beautiful gowns we have available in our salon. We’ll be posting pictures of the gowns soon, so make sure you come back to our site often!

Check Out Our Temporary Space!

We had many volunteers who worked very hard today to get The Brides Project into our temporary location in time for Saturday’s Spring Sale! Just look at these pictures – they honestly don’t do justice to how gorgeous the new space is, so make sure you come see it for yourself! Our Spring Sale hours are 10am – 6pm this Saturday, the 7th – no appointment needed!
